Welcome to Wales Township!

Wales Township was organized on March 27, 1841 and will be celebrating it's "178th Year Birthday" in 2019.

We are largely an agricultural-residential community of approximately 3000 residents living in a thirty-six square mile township, located in the heart of St. Clair County,
Michigan. St. Clair County is the easternmost county in the State of Michigan, at the base of the "thumb", where the foot of Lake Huron and the head of the St. Clair River join.

Wales Township is also the home of the St. Clair County Park and Fairgrounds where the yearly 4-H fair is held and among other things to offer it's residents.

The Wales Township Park has been in progress over the last couple of years and now has a pavilion, a beautiful playscape and new hand pump for water. A Multi-Purpose court has recently been erected through grants and funds donated by the St. Clair County Foundation, the Ralph Wilson Jr. Foundation, and the St. Clair County Parks and Recreation Millage. The park is located next to the Township Hall on Wales Center Road.

The residents of Wales Township "Thank You" for visiting their site and encourage you to visit again, here on the web or in person.
