Zoning Board of Appeals Hearing

Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing on April 16th, 2026 at 6pm at the Wales Township Hall located at 1372 Wales Center Rd, Wales MI 48027. There will be (2) different appeals at this meeting. The first variance request is for Joshua and Tarah Guerrero property that is commonly known as 8090 Marquette Rd, Wales, MI 48027, Parcel # 74-31-026-2004-000. This request is for a property line variance to reduce the side yard/ property line set back from 15ft to 5ft to allow the construction of an accessory building. The second variance request is for DNR Customs, Derek Rose property that is commonly known as 8801 Smiths Creek Rd, Wales MI 48027, Parcel # 74-31-034-2001-000. This request is for a property line variance to share a driveway with a business and a new home. The purpose of this hearing is to receive comments from residents. property owners, and public regarding the two variance requests from Joshua and Tarah Guerrero and Derek Rose, also known as DNR Customs. A copy of the entire appeals applications can be viewed at the Wales Township Hall. Comments, including written comments are also encouraged and will be received at the Wales Township Hall 1372 Wales Center Road, Wales, MI 48027 prior to the April 16, 2026 meeting.
