BROADBAND SERVICE

Air Advantage is trying to obtain a grant from the State of Michigan to give our area better internet service. Please see the link below for all the details on the grant application offered by the state. Also, see the attached sample letter you can use to help this process if you are interested in a better and expanded internet in our area of the county. The letters need to be sent to Air Advantage by August 26th or 27th, as the deadline for them to submit the application to the State is August 30th.

 PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING

The next Planning Commission will hold a Workshop Meeting on *Tuesday, August 20, 2019 .   The meeting starts at 7:00 p.m. at the Township Hall. All meetings are open to the public.

 TAX BILLS....

The 2019 Summer Tax Bills are due September 16th. , after that 1%interest will be added each month. If you have any questions feel free to give us a call.

The 2019 Winter Tax Bills are due February 14th, 2020, but may be paid until February 28th without penalty..

The Township Office will be open on Friday, December 26, 2019 from 9:00 a.m to 5:00 p.m and also on, Thursday February 28th  from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., to accept tax payments.

"Happy Birthday Wales Township"

On March 27th 2019 Wales Township was a 178 YEARS OLD.

The Township was organized on March 27, 1841, at which time it was considered one of the finest agricultural districts in St. Clair County. In 1890 the Township Hall was built and is now 129 years old, a lot of the building is still in the original materials.

 LOST AND FOUND:   If you lost a ring in the cemetery please call the Township Office during regular business hours. A resident found one there and would like to return it to it's owner.

TOWNSHIP PARK:  An all purpose basket ball court and park benches are coming soon. A well with a hand-pump has been installed next to the pavilion at the park. Come and visit the Township Park and the Playscape, the children will enjoy it. The park is located next to the Township Hall on Wales Center Rd. The pavilion has picnic tables to enjoy a meal or to just sit in the shade. Also available is a grill and water from the hand pump. A porta-potty is available during the warmer weather for your convenience.
